WORLD PHYSIOTHERAPY DAY CELEBRATION

World Physiotherapy Day was celebrated on 8th September 2025 in the auditorium with the theme “Healthy Ageing, with a specific focus on preventing frailty and falls,” highlighting the unity and solidarity of the global physiotherapy community.

The celebration began with a rangoli competition and a muscle painting competition in the Electrotherapy Department, with active participation from students of all years. Judges evaluated the entries at 12:30 PM and announced the winners. A fun fiesta organized by the Student Council featured food stalls, games, and challenges, encouraging enthusiastic participation from both staff and students.

The formal program commenced at 3:00 PM with a welcome address by Miss Jamila Hakim and Miss Srushti Indalkar. It included a skit performance, a physiotherapy quiz involving first- and second-year students, and a debate on “Quality of life matters more than longevity in healthy ageing.” The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, introduction of new council members, appreciation of the outgoing council, and ended at 5:15 PM.
