Guest Lecture

The Department of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy organized a guest lecture on “Scope of Physiotherapy Beyond Conventional Borders” on 6th May 2025 to highlight emerging opportunities in the profession beyond traditional clinical practice. The session was delivered by Dr. Sumanta Ghosh, Chief Respiratory Physiotherapist at HealthSpecifics, who discussed expanding roles in community health, sports, women’s health, geriatrics, and palliative care. He also emphasized opportunities in corporate wellness, telehealth, global careers, interdisciplinary collaboration, and entrepreneurship. An interactive Q&A session followed, where students discussed career planning and specialization. The lecture was informative and inspiring, broadening students’ perspectives on the evolving scope of physiotherapy..
