SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN

“A clean India would be the best tribute India could pay to Mahatma Gandhi,” said Narendra Modi while launching the Swachh Bharat Mission at Rajpath, New Delhi. The 2025 “Swachhata Hi Seva” campaign, themed around the spirit of Swachhotsav, emphasized community participation and collective responsibility for maintaining clean and green surroundings.

In support of this initiative, St. Andrews College of Physiotherapy organized a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on 1st October 2025. First-year BPT students, guided by teaching and non-teaching staff, actively participated in cleaning the college premises, surrounding roads, and nearby areas. Equipped with gloves, masks, brooms, and garbage bags, students ensured proper segregation of biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste.

The activity highlighted the importance of cleanliness and reinforced the shared responsibility of citizens in building a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable nation.
