Ashadhi Wari Sohala

A medical camp titled “Charanseva” was organized on 22nd June 2025 at Kadamvakvasti, Loni Kalbhor, Pune, under the Mukhyamantri Sahayata Nidhi and Dharmadaya Rugnalaya Madat Kaksha for devotees participating in the annual Palkhi pilgrimage to Pandharpur Temple. St. Andrews College of Physiotherapy actively participated as a paramedical team, with 100 BPTh students from 1st to 4th year serving the Warkaris.

The initiative was led by Principal Dr. Albin Jerome, along with Dr. Venkatesan R, Dr. Nikita Waghmare, and Dr. Pooja Chungade. The camp aimed to provide free physiotherapy consultations and treatment, educate pilgrims on injury prevention and self-care, and support their physical well-being during the strenuous pilgrimage.

A total of 129 patients were treated for conditions such as low back pain, knee pain and stiffness, foot and ankle pain, muscle cramps, tendonitis, and leg swelling. The camp was a successful outreach initiative, ensuring the comfort and safety of Palkhi devotees while reinforcing the institution’s commitment to community service and healthcare. The camp concluded at 10 PM.
